Hot on the heels of Bing, Microsofts new search engine comes Google's new engine code named "Caffeine".
"For the last several months, a large team of Googlers has been working on a project: a next-generation architecture for Google's web search," Google engineers Sitaram Iyer and Matt Cutts said on the Google company blog.
"The new infrastructure sits 'under the hood' of Google's search engine, which means that most users won't notice a difference in search results," the engineers wrote.
"But, Web developers and power searchers might notice a few differences, so we're opening up a web developer preview to collect feedback."
The new search engine can be tested at www2.sandbox.google.com. For now its only a work in progress but stay tuned on more developments in the near future.
